About Nicolette

Nicolette is an Award-winning performer and instructor in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia areas. At a young age, she was always interested in entertaining audiences in the performing arts. She began her dance studies in ballet, jazz, modern, and tap and was accepted into several dance programs to expand her skills through auditions. She also studied ballroom and several social partner dance forms.

When Nicolette began to expand her interest in other dance forms, she was introduced to bellydance around 2008 and has been performing this dance form at various shows and venues. She studied with several performers and instructors including Sahara Dance faculty in Washington DC, Aziza of Canada, Yousry Sharif, Jillina, Virginia of Miami, Tito Seif, Mohamed Shahin, Rachel Brice, Karim Nagi, Sadie, Donna Mejia, Amanda Rose, Esmeralda Colabone and many others.

Nicolette teaches belly dance classes at Sahara Dance and is a current member of Raqs Sahara.

Recipient / Participant:

• 2018 East Coast Classic Bellydance Festival - First Place and People's Choice in Semi-Professional Category

• 2019 Essence of Belly Dance Festival - Third Place in Professional Category (combined Fusion and Oriental dance styles). She competed with both Fusion and Oriental dance routines.

• Jillina's Bellydance Experience (BDEx) Cast Member of Wizard of Oz and Alice in Wonderland at several locations
